Lagaw- Suroy sa Plaza Publiko

BACOLOD PUBLIC PLAZA

One of the notable landmarks of the city of smiles. It is located in the heart of the downtown area, near  Sm City and across from the historic San Sebastian Cathedral.

The plaza is a trapezoidal park with a belt of trees around the periphery and a gazebo at the center. Scattered within the trees are four circular fountains. The plaza was constructed in 1927 as a place for recreation, political, spiritual and cultural activities (Wiki).

one of the fountains...

This monument is dedicated to a soldier whose name is not known who left his loveones in a lonely home. Who fought for flag, for God, and for his loveones that they will live free forever.

TINDALO TREE

This Tindalo tree was planted by President Manuel L. Quezon, Philippine commonwealth, and   assisted by Mayor Aflredo Montelibano Sr., first mayor of Bacolod City. Planted on October 19, 1938 during the inaguaration of Bacolod City as chartered city.
